So as you all know (or should) by now Kevin and I are both avid Vans wearers, mostly Authentics and Eras but then again most people tend to be nowadays. So to switch it up a bit it we have been rocking the Old Skool a lot as of late. This particular model is great because it is as iconic as an Era or Authentic but isn’t seen around quite as much. Not only is it a little more slept on but it has a much more durable upper, usually consisting of suede or leather which makes a huge difference if you are actually skating or riding in them. They have a great classic skate look to them without being overdone, like most skate shoes are, and they can actually handle a bit of a beating. I find I go through Eras in weeks if I’m really rocking them hard, but my classic black and white Old Skools I have been wearing for almost two summers now. In conclusion it doesn’t matter which model your wearing, Vans are just one of those pieces of footwear that is a staple, like a Chuck Taylor, a Dessert boot, or a boat shoe, they all work so well in so many different situations and settings…

hell yeah! so on point Brendan.. my current pair have survived many a sweaty, sockless day so far, and only look better and better as I beat them senseless. people: Era’s and Authentic’s may come in cool colors, but you can’t beat the durability and classic steez of the Old Skool
