Fantasme

So enough with the coverage of the upcoming collections in the world of men’s fashion, and on to some good old self-promotion. Well, promotion of an event put on by some very talented friends, that I am lucky enough to play a small part in. Coming up next Thursday, August 20th, is the event Fantasme, showcasing the new works of Andrew Ly and Melissa Matos, with a focus on fashion, film, and installation pieces. This show has been a lot of work in the making, much of which I have witnessed first hand: Andrew has certainly been on the grind for a good month now, and the works he has produced are very exciting, setting the stage for a serious progression in his personal career. Add in collaborations with the very talented Richmond Lam, Kevin Calero, and Gilles Polet, and this show is set to be a highlight of the summer. I feel honored the artists choose myself and compatriot Dan to provide the music for the evening, and am stoked big names like Slamxhype have been providing pre-event coverage. Look for a post-event wrap up coming next weekend.
