Visvim has become one of the most regarded and sought-after fashion labels to emerge from Japan in the last decade. The line has gained quite a following and a lot success since it’s inception back in 2000. Japanese magazine SENSE has done this full feature on the Visvim Fall/Winter 2009 collection, as well as a small interview with Hiroki Nakamura, the founder and head designer of the brand. I have followed the line for a few years now, usually liking their footwear but this collection is one that I really enjoy, particularly the leather rider-style Strabler jacket and the Skagway Hi Elston sneaker in the cognac brown color. The styles are classic and the fits are modern, using only the finest materials and construction methods, this collection shows why Visvim is a leader in this market.
