Washed Out is the no-fi bedroom recording project of Ernest Greene, based out of Perry, GA. Creating dusty, classic sounding disco/soul/pop songs, many of which sound like old breaks samples, Greene weaves a tale straight out of a blaxploitation film (with a Balearic space-disco edge). There’s so much going on in all these songs, it’s hard to keep up, but with a 20 min total run time it’s easy to put this record on repeat. A great follow-up to the amazing ‘Life Of Leisure’ EP, I look forward to Washed Out continuing to experiment in haze and nostalgia for a while to come.
