Fall seems to have really come in with a vengeance today on the west coast… the time has come for chunky sweaters and boots, making this video lookbook right on point (except for the snow part). Gant Rugger is another line we’re excited to both wear and sell come this fall, and this presentation of their current collection hits all the right notes for us, motorbikes, whiskey, fire, etc… with videos now an integral part of seasonal promotion, Gant really nailed this one. Look for the collection to hit retailers within a couple weeks.
Joe McCoy is the real deal, the collection has the best reproductions on the market today in my eyes. They make top notch reinterpretations of work and sportswear inspired pieces, all constructed in the most high quality materials and craftsmanship. The fall/winter collection is now available for pre-order from Super Denim and I am sure it wont last long. Keep reading for a full look at these timeless greats.
We made it back from the trip all in one piece, so now it’s time to get back on the blogrind (yes I just made that up). With that being said here’s a look at the forthcoming collection from resident favourites Our Legacy, with their spring/summer 2011 collection entitled ‘Observations.’ The collection is what you would expect from these guys, spot-on timeless classics with a few twists. The pieces and looks are so understated and that is what’s to love from the label. Keep reading for the entire lookbook…
This lookbook by Vancouver-based Wings + Horns showcasing their fall/winter 2010 collection has been circulating the web for a few days now… but they’re just one of those lines that we’ll always feature here on 84/85, regardless of our timelines. We both own multiple pieces from the brand, spanning seasons back to when it was one of the most coveted and hard to come by lines going. Now with an expanded stocklist, a legit web presence, and full-blown lookbooks, Wings + Horns has stepped in to their rightful place of prominence in the contemporary menswear game. We’re excited to both wear and sell these pieces through the f/w season… keep reading for the full lookbook.
The first annual GOC motorbike roadtrip starts tomorrow, headed to the gorgeous location pictured above (we’ll let you guess). It’s a fully no-tech vacation, so we’ll be back in fine form come early next week… see you then, and enjoy these late summer days while you can!
What more can be said about Supreme at this point… the forbearers of the streetwear/cut and sew crossover, mixing all strands of youth culture in to one distinctly NYC aesthetic, the brand remains untouchable season after season. F/W 2010 is no different, with Jason Dill anchoring this lookbook for their current collection. So many different styles all working together, from a reinterpreted Wrangler-esque jean jacket through to the amazing cap featured above, rocking the Ice Cube font. I’d mess with pretty much every piece from this collection… Supreme wins yet again. Keep reading for the rest.
Undisputed champions of hell (and the only graphic-centric line that really matters), Actual Pain is back front and center with this lookbook for their fall/winter 2010 collection, Mystery Faith. So much to like here, but my choice has to be the classic logo/goat crewneck pictured above. Designer TJ Cowgill comes with his most complete presentation yet, and AP remains the most unique line going in streetwear… keep reading for the entire lookbook.
Very excited for my good friend Chris Long to play our weekly musical gathering next week… and in anticipation of this gig, Chris has put together the next instalment in our SOF mix series. Deep grooves from a few different eras of techno, this is a class mix to soundtrack your weekend… get it here
