Club Monaco Holiday 2010 Looks

We recently posted the f/w 2010 collection from Club Monaco and it was a very popular, and I could see why as it was a great looking collection. So here is a look at the first part of the collection for holiday 2010, another impressive addition to the recent resurgence from the label. I like the color combinations and use of and pattern throughout the collection; the Canadian J.Crew does it again with some solid looks for the holiday 2010 season.

Victim Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

A bit late to the seasonal party, but this extensive lookbook for Victim’s f/w 2010 collection is pretty formidable nonetheless. I’m really feeling the styling of this presentation, with understated combinations and relaxed fits. The collection is put together to a T, with my personal highlights being the varsity and denim jackets, and the knit rollneck shown with shorts and boots. Also: is 2011 the year menswear re-embraces the looser jean (did that already happen in 2010)? I think we’re gonna put our bets on yes. Click through for the rest of this outstanding lookbook.

Noir Basic Fall/Winter 2010-11

Parisian based label Noir Basic is a relatively new line started in 2008, with an idea to create the highest quality reinterpretations of classic streetwear-style jackets. The line takes influence from vintage and Ameicana styles with a Japanese-like attention to detail. All the jackets are handmade in France by local craftsmen and artisans, and made from the highest quality materials such as lambskin, calf suede, japanese denim, and sterling silver hardware. I love the attention to detail as well as overall simplicity of the line. Keep reading for the full f/w 2010 collection…

2010 Music Musings

It’s that time of year again, when the days fly by, there’s annoying music blaring in most shops you enter, and people start making year-end lists. The music crew I’m part of, sub|division, has been posting people’s 2010 summaries every day of December; 31 dudes and gals geeking out over what captured our interests this year… mine went up yesterday, and you can check that out here (shouts to Chris Long for the very complimentary introduction).

Left Field NYC F/W 2010

Left Field NYC is a line that I have a lot of respect for and can truly appreciate. The line was started by a husband and wife team who were both not feeling the corporate retail world. After amassing a hefty amount of vintage clothing the two decided to start their own line that was inspired from all their vintage scores. The collection is entirely made in NYC and has that true vintage look and feel to it. They have a small collection for the f/w 2010 season, consisting of merino wool crew sweaters, washed Japanese flannels, organic canvas chinos and selvedge and non-selvedge shrink-to-fit jeans. If you ask me, that is a perfect line up that I would be able to wear day in and day out. Keep reading for the full collection…

Engineered Garments Sweatshirts F/W 2010

There isn’t much that I like more than a nice quality sweatshirt, so when I saw these Engineered Garments pieces I was easily impressed. Take the EG quality and thoughtful design and add that to a basic sweatshirt and here you have it, perfection. These four different styles have just been released at Nepenthes New York, so grab em while you can. Keep reading for the other styles…

Jag Beach Spring/Summer 2011

Jag Beach brings us this look at their upcoming spring/summer 2011 collection. The line takes inspiration from 70′s surf/BMX styles and the culture that surrounded it; there’s a great mix of styles throughout the collection, with western, military and athletic looks all fused together with a retro throwback feel. There is also a good use of pattern and colour, all while not being over the top.  Keep reading for the full looks…

Mr. Lee’s x Norse Projects F/W 2010 Photoshoot

Mr. Lee’s General Store in Vancouver recently put together this great looking photo shoot for their fall/winter collection from Norse Projects. The shoot is done on a tug boat out on the west coast waters, giving the collection a true nautical feel.  Mr. Lee’s just added the line to their stocklist this season and I think that was a great move, as Norse Projects is one of my favourite labels at the moment. Keep reading for a look at the full shoot…
