Flying Coffin Fall 2011

One of our Pac Northwest faves, Flying Coffin has finally overcome production delays to drop their fall 2011 collection, a strong run highlighted by new snapback and graphic tee offerings. Always reliable, it’s good to see FC didn’t have to shelve the season, a fate that has befallen a few lines recently. Might have to cop the black skull/camo brim joint, check more of the lookbook after the jump.

Nonnative Spring/Summer 2012 Preview

Nonnative brings us this preview of their forthcoming spring/summer 2012 collection. Nonnative is a big time favourite around here, ultra wearable collections season after season. Although I much prefer fall/winter collections from any label (more layers, better colors, etc), this spring/summer 2011 collection from Nonnative is bang on, with good variety of looks from casual to more dressy. FreedMinds Fall 2011

Entitled Destroy & Rebuild, here’s a look at the FreedMinds fall ’11 lookbook. We featured the line back here with their summer collection, shot with a similar film aesthetic and the same wild-out subject matter. Feeling what this team is doing, self-directed self-made styles and a great presentation. Don’t really know what’s up with all the gunz in this lookbook but hey, we’re Canadian so we don’t really know what’s up with guns in general haha… click though for the rest.

Goodhood “Nevermind” A/W 2011 Lookbook

London based shop Goodhood keeps the lookbooks rollin’ out for the autumn/winter 2011 season. This time around the shop puts together the Nevermind lookbook, which takes inspiration from the 90′s grunge movement, more directly Nirvana. The looks seen feature lots of stripes, washed denim, flannels and cardigans, all a big part of the grunge style. The shootfeatures pieces from Norse Projects, Junya Wantanabe, Wood Wood, Vans, Perks & Mini, Pendleton and more. Keep reading for the other half of the lookbook…

Penny Stock Autumn 2011 Lookbook

California based Penny Stock is a label that I become familiar with though their spring/summer 2011 collection, which we featured here. Now we bring you a look at their autumn 2011 lookbook, entitled The Ranch. There were two inspirations for this collection, a vintage book the designers found that has illustrated examples of every cattle brand used in California state since 1960, and secondly a vintage color-by-numbers painting of a mountain landscape. The collection itself features some great looks made up from clean, simple pieces all done in a really nice color palette made up of mostly navy, grey, burgundy, brown and green. Another great lookbook and collection from the cost conscious label, Penny Stock. Click through for the rest…

N. Hoolywood x Lee Capsule Collection

Spotted over at and shot by the Beast, this small capsule collab between N. Hoolywood and Lee is too good to not post. Lee is one of the last North American workwear/denim originators to dive deep in to collaborations, but hopefully this is the start of some quality links. Really feeling the chorecoat especially, this is a good look for N. Hoolywood, too bad it’s only available in Asian at present.

Apolis Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

Apolis Activism is a line we really get down with, we have featured them on the ol’ blawg here quite a few times, but not so much recently. Well to change that here is a look at their editorial-style lookbook shoot for their f/w 2011 season. The collection itself is a little more dressy overall, with a good mix of rugged/dress pieces done in muted tones paired together. This collection also features the tan and blue 60/40 parka (seen second to top) that was produced with Sierra Designs who are the 60/40 OG’s. Another impressive collection from the boys over at Apolis Activism, click through for the other half of the lookbook…
