is-ness Fall/Winter 2011

Had a bit of a heart attack when I came across is-ness this week when doing my regular rounds through my Japanese source sites. What a flawlessly executed label; taking cues from classic California outdoors wear (read: Patagonia) and adding stylistic and construction nuances that are explicitly Japanese, is-ness’ f/w 2011 collection is as solid a front-to-back concept run as I’ve seen. Wild colors and patterns, a wide array of materials, and a seemingly high-function cold weather commitment make this so, so appealing to me. Some of the pieces are a little cray for my personal taste, but taken individually a lot of this would integrate and pop with a more toned-down existing wardrobe… basically, this line is RAD. Hit the jump for 40 more awesome pieces from is-ness f/w ’11.

  1. the cycle continues…workwear overload creates an equal and opposite reaction.
Tech is getting serious again. I’m all in, but some of this is pushing the lines of taste.
That asym bomber is heat though. IsaOra is putting out some pretty ill stuff too.
