Japanese label Unused are bringing the wild styles with this presentation of their spring/summer 2012 collection. There are some very interesting looks seen here, mixing athletic styles with relaxed dressy pieces done with some crazy styling and use of proportion and cuts. Yes! This is hype on a few levels: one, we really like rad socks. For serious, quality-made socks with good height+weight and solid pattern/color are the best, and more difficult to find than you might think. Second, we like motorbikes/skateboarding/getting shredded in general, so the combo of the two is on point. Stance is a California brand doing it big in the sock game, and props to them. Enjoy this vid featuring their spring ’12 product.

Here is another new addition to the Topo Designs family, the Hip Bag. I am a fan of waist/hip bags (but I would only wear one over the shoulder), they are very functional on the bicycle or motorbike, fitting just the essentials and allowing for a place to put sunglasses, gloves etc after getting off the bike. I really like what the folks over at Topo Designs are up to, quality products all made in the USA with really classic designs.

Japanese label Big John have released this new presentation of their spring/summer 2012 collection. I was really feeling their collection from f/w ’11 so I was stoked to see this one pop up one the radar. This collection has a vintage blue-collar French vibe going on throughout. Standout pieces for me are the outerwear, such as the chore coats and utility jackets. Read through for the rest of the looks.

What to say here other than ‘damn’… Carhartt WIP is on a roll in the women’s streetwear game with their flipped men’s pieces and specific girl’s cuts, from short dresses through to oxfords and varsity jackets. We were big fans of their f/w ’11 collection and this is a great followup, from the model choices to the styling, really showcasing the breadth of the season… keep reading for my choice picks from the lookbook.

Japan’s Warehouse presents the s/s 2012 collection from Seattle’s Heller’s Cafe, full of the flawless reproductions and interpretations the line is known for. Top sk8 vid to celebrate the Carhartt WIP and 5BORO NYC collaboration. Such amazing footage from Detroit and numerous NYC boroughs, and the pieces are tastefully featured in between high-speed street skating from 5BORO team members… soundtrack kills too, all good things.

One of our favorite labels going, NEXUSVII is back with this first look at their spring/summer 2012 collection. As per usual my only beef is the influx of zany hats, other than that everything looks great, feeling the top featured look especially.
