Desillusion Magazine presents this look at California’s Iron & Resin, a mainstay here on the site:
‘Based in the heart of Ventura, a town literally fuelled by waves and gasoline. Iron & Resin is the product of several friends, immersed in a culture of motorcycles and point breaks. A culture where man builds with his own hands and the only thing that counts is living in the moment. ’Brother of the Weird’ presents an insight into the brand with co-founder Thom Hill.
This short film is based on the article “Behind The Desk – Iron & Resin” published in Desillusion Magazine 45, Tome 1.’
Nice short promo vid for 2x collab pieces from SoCal brands Iron & Resin and Tres Noir. Not super familiar with the latter but we always rep the former, one of our favourite brands out. As always the lifestyle hit is motos, backroads, swimming holes and good times – just the right feel.
Not really a State Bicycle supporter but we always mess w/ Macaframa, and damn can Jason Clary ride a bike! SF hammering, serious business.
Full series of s/s ’14 looks from Carhartt WIP showcasing the new collection – not entirely sure about the styling here in comparsion to season’s past, but to be fair it’s hard to keep on that level forever. The pieces are the highlights, few camos to choose from plus the ever spot-on WIP basics (like the grey hoodie featured above) – click through for the rest of the lookbook.
Supreme is back with their s/s 2014 lookbook ft. Jason Dill, and the early appraisal is ‘one of the best collections in a long time.’ Collabs with Levis, Champion, Playboy, and treatments of the Dead Kennedys and Siouxsie & the Banshees, the range, detail, and consistency of this season is pretty staggering. As always, the line knows how to style their own collection and the looks here are dead-on. 27 bangers, click through for the whole rundown.
Japanese label Standard California is one that I have really become fond of over the last while, with their great takes on vintage California stylings and aesthetics. Here is a look at their Fall/Winter 2013 collection in entirety, it is a rather expansive range that covers a lot of ground. There is a hell of a lot of goodness in here; from outerwear, knitwear to glasses and a vans collaboration this collection doesn’t leave too much to be desired, just great looking retro inspired heat.
Hot damn collab from Gosha Rubchinskiy and Vans, tackling one of our favourite models with the Old Skool. The black leather kicks feature a gumsole with reflective laces and details (although I’d swap ’em for white right away). Produced by Comme des Garçon, you know these ain’t cheap, but would definitely fall in to the ‘money well spent’ category.
Here is a look at the latest and greatest venture from the good folks at Topo Designs, OYO Mountain Products. This is their new offshoot line of outdoors inspired products, while similar to Topo in the fact that it takes inspiration from classic and functional outdoors products as well as being all made in the USA it differs in that it is not just bags. This range for the fall/winter 2013 season includes, 2 styles of pack, 2 styles of headwear, a climbing jacket in collab with Trainerspotter, 2 tees, watch straps and a few other accessories. Although I am not normally a very colourful dresser I really like the usage of bright and bold colours through out the range, really gives it a throwback camp feel.
