Here is a look at the latest and greatest venture from the good folks at Topo Designs, OYO Mountain Products. This is their new offshoot line of outdoors inspired products, while similar to Topo in the fact that it takes inspiration from classic and functional outdoors products as well as being all made in the USA it differs in that it is not just bags. This range for the fall/winter 2013 season includes, 2 styles of pack, 2 styles of headwear, a climbing jacket in collab with Trainerspotter, 2 tees, watch straps and a few other accessories. Although I am not normally a very colourful dresser I really like the usage of bright and bold colours through out the range, really gives it a throwback camp feel.
‘New and now available, Nixon introduces a curated collection of goods inspired by and in partnership with Bolts Action.
This limited edition Nixon x Bolts Action partnership features a custom-built watch, hand-cut Horween leather bi-fold wallet, solid steel keychain and is available at select retail partners.’
The Bolts crew is ruling right now and this vid does it right, Jeremy Jones, Seth Huot, Andy Carter and co all making Salt Lake City look quite rad.
Here is a look at a very exciting collaborative venture between two good ol’ American brands, Woolrich and West America. I am sure the most of you (if not all) are aware of Woolrich, but maybe not so much West America: the brand is made up of two respected builders in their own right, James Crowe (Crow Metal Co.) and Jordan Hufnagel (Hufnagel Cycles).
The two brands joined forces to produce this 4-piece capsule collection designed specifically for motorcycle riding, and even more specifically for a 12 month ride to Patagonia that both James and Jordan are just embarking upon. The collection itself consists of a great product mix; a waxed cotton motorcycle jacket (both brown and black), waxed cotton and wool vest, poncho/blanket roll up with a waxed outer, and finally a 6-panel hat made of deadstock camo wool made in the early 90′s. All the items in the collection are made in the USA and are limited to 100 units of each, making for a rather limited edition offering. The collection will be made available on the Woolrich website, the West America online shop as well as select stores starting the beginning of next month (Nov.1). Make sure to also follow both Jordan and James on their adventure to Patagonia on Woolrich’s IG (@woolrichinc) and on their website, wearewestamerica.com. All I can say is I am both jealous and outright stoked for these guys, rubber side down boys!
Love us some Jason Jessee and big fans of Converse CONS and Santa Cruz skates as well, so this collab is a triple win: been looking to break the Vans cycle and try a pair of the new CONS and this just might be the one.
Here is a look at a great little collaboration that I am rather excited about: HUF x VTS. Coming from a background in graffiti myself I know of the VTS crew very well (mostly westcoast based with a heavy Vancouver presence) and have watched the crew grow over the years to what it is today, a world renowned graffiti crew. The one thing that I respect most about the crew is they don’t mess with the street art, we’re talking raw, illegal graffiti here. It is also no surprise we are fond of HUF and what they do and represent so this was a no brainer for me. Here is a little about the colab via HUF:
“HUF x Very Top Secret collection | Founded in 2003, very top secret (VTS) is a worldwide graffiti crew rooted in — and fundamentally dedicated to — illegal graffiti. Widely known for traveling the world over and leaving their mark wherever they go, VTS thrives off the desire to maintain freedom and self-expression by rejecting social conventions. Born out of a similar street-level upbringing through skateboarding, HUF has come together with vts on a collaboration that encapsulates both parties’ allegiance to upholding shared roots in underground culture. Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of VTS, the limited edition HUF x VTS collaboration features a series of three t-shirts, a pullover hoodie, snapback hat, and socks”.
I also really like how the crew has been busy hitting the streets in preparation of the release, click through for that as well as the rest of the collection.
