Filson Cowichan Sweaters Fall/Winter 2012

Keeping it true to the Northwest coast, Seattle-based Filson have worked with the local Vancouver Island Salish peoples for another Cowichan sweater range for this fall/winter 2012 season. With a different design for each sweater, the men’s being “the noble Moose, the symbol of abundance in the hunt,” and the women’s being the Fox. “In Snoqualmie legend, Fox climbed into the sky but was trapped by Moon (chief of the Heavens). When Fox escaped from Moon, he gathered the sun, the fire, and the trees to take back with him to the people. The sun brought light to the land and the trees became the great forests of the Cascade Mountains.” Thats real talk right there, click through for the accessories.
