Crescent Down Works for J.Crew Fall 2010

Its been a minute since we put up any J.Crew content on the old blog here, what better way to bring them back then with a collaboration with Seattle-based Crescent Down Works. They have teamed up to produce these two amazing looking pieces, a down puffer vest and down puffer hooded jacket. J. Crew knows how to pick their collabs, as the list gets longer the products get more impressive. The jacket is on my ‘wants and needs’ list for sure…

Mishka Fall 2010 Lookbook

Funny, I thought Mishka showed us their fall 2010 lookbook back here, but I guess there’s a few new t-shirts and hats, and apparently they’re best modeled on this young lady. Whatever the case, leave it to Mishka and Ellen Stagg to bring the slightly-NSFW ruckus, and you have to respect the brand’s hustle, always doing things a little bit different… click through for more.

Mishka Fall 2010 Lookbook

Mishka is the line I’ve probably paid closest attention to without ever really owning a piece (except for my AP collabo)… and while their actual goods may not be completely my thing, the line has so much more to offer. Mishka’s image control may be the best in the game; from their still-dominant blog through to the presentation of their seasonal lookbooks, everything is tight and succinct, a rarity for the scale on which the brand operates. The fall 2010 collection is no different, with a wide range of looks being utilized: graphic-tee streetwear, boots and flannel workwear, east coast prep, even skinhead styles are shown throughout this lookbook. I’m really feeling the hooded parka and the varsity jacket, perhaps this is the season I finally cop something… click though for more.

Vans Classics Fall 2010 Lookbook

Mutual love of Vans is probably the easiest thing Brendan and I ever agreed on… their shoes have been a staple of our lives for a decade plus, and they likely will be for decades more. Here is a lookbook for their fall 2010 Classics collection, which is more an exercise in artistic presentation than a product-focused advertisement. Attempting to capture the definitive Vans aesthetic of SoCal surf, skate, and cycle, the lookbook also gives a glimpse at a few new colorways in the Chukka, Authentic, and Era shoe styles… keep reading for more.

South 2 West 8 Fall 2010 Lookbook

South 2 West 8 comes correct again with this preview of their upcoming fall 2010 collection. There is always lots to look at with these guys, they do the outdoorsy style so well, but still keep it original and unique (which not a lot of lines manage to do). The pieces are great takes on classic styles but with a different twist to each. The lookbook is well shot, featuring some great looks, and as per usual styled to a T. Cheap Monday Fall 2010

A fashionable steal at the best of times, hit-or-miss usually, and poorly constructed and unreliable at worst, Cheap Monday is a rollercoaster of a line. Changing direction and style almost every season, it’s hard to have any loyalty to the brand… and their fall 2010 offerings are definitely a little out there, with skin tight pants, slouch boots (?!), and faux-goth buckle/stitch/safety pin flourishes. Not my cup of tea, but at Old Navy pricepoints it’s not hard to tell why the line does so well… keep reading for more.

Brixton Fall 2010 Lookbook

Another line we’ve been big fans of for seasons now, Brixton keeps expanding their apparel selection for fall 2010, alongside their wide range of hats etc. This lookbook stays in tune with what we’ve seen from them previously; skating, music, motorbikes, and socal dude living. In other words, general goodness… keep reading for more.

Band of Outsiders Fall 2010 Lookbook

Always coming with artistically-oriented collection presentations, Band of Outsiders keeps their washed-out film aesthetic going strong for fall 2010. And while it way be sort of difficult to clearly discern the nuances of the pieces, you know what to expect from BOH; quality materials, trim cuts, a muted palatte, and an overall wearability that’s the envy of many a line… keep reading for more from this fall 2010 lookbook.
