Here’s the first look at the f/w 2013 collection from Black Weirdos, Japanese high street done just right, slightly off-kilter, maybe even a bit… weird. Feeling the colour combos, high water cuffing and the yin yang Cowichan: the line looks super cohesive as a fulsome seasonal collection. First I’ve seen from the brand, definitely one to stay in tune with.
Copenhagen’s Rascals give the first look at their a/w collection here with this vid entitled Awkward Winter, and that about sums it up. Love the grade 9 class school photo backdrop against the pieces, looking 90′s spacey fresh for a Scandinavian fall. Rascals is a new favourite around here, stoked to see a full lookbook for the season.

Damn, Daiki came through with the crack here. Next level work as usual from EG, as f/w is always their strongest season by far. I am really messing with the long shirt / tunic looks and the different coloured shoes, fire… the styling is bang on all the way through this lookbook. That said, I don’t/wouldn’t/couldn’t rock the full looks, but individual EG pieces are best utilized in conjunction with more chilled attire from your personal trove.

Don’t know too much about Japanese label roundabout but I do like their mantra: ‘not fashion conscious / not beautiful silhouette / but this is my way.’ Collection isn’t overly inventive but the lookbook has a great feel to it and I really enjoy the proportions and styling. Also, the label’s s/s 2013 collection is well worth a look, super rad. Definitely a brand to keep an eye on here out.

Now for your weekly dose of art lookbook, here’s Japanese label Bukht and their f/w 2013 collection. Looking through their site archives I really like collections from seasons past (and current), but you wouldn’t know anything about the pieces from this presentation… but who cares, its art not fashion, right? Right.

Deus Ex Machina are becoming a real staple around here, and with that said here is a look at their forthcoming fall/winter 2013 collection. After their recent expansion to N. America with their Venice L.A. flagship location they have been making all the right moves. The fall/winter 2013 range is looking damn solid, with a good amount of knits, and great layering throughout. This is the most cohesive collection for the N.A. market I have seen to date, and I assume its gonna keep going that way for the ‘God from the machine’ brand.

Longtime blauge favourites .efiLevol give the first look at their f/w 2013 collection, not quite the usual lookbook prowess we expect from the label, but perhaps this isn’t actually the real deal presentation. Regardless there’s some great pieces in here even if the overall vibe is pretty buttoned-up. The women’s looks that accompanied this were stellar, warranting their own post at a later date.
