Here’s a look at the Levis Commuter Series for spring 2013, featuring a scowly Garrett Chow from MASH in the staring role, with cameos by other SF cycle notables Marc Marino and Rainier Schaefer. The connection makes sense, Levis being the #1 SF brand in history and MASH representing a new style of entrepreneurs and athletes out of the city… I wonder when the official collab will drop? Oh and this collection looks as expected, solid basics with a cycling twist… haven’t picked up a piece from the line yet but anyone I know who has swears by the quality, ups to Levis for doing it proper.

AETHERsf

Here’s an awesome behind-the-scenes video showcasing the build of Aether‘s new San Francisco standalone retail shop, the first for the the label. I’m a huge fan of the recontextualization of shipping containers as live/work/retail spaces, and this build is truly top notch, as if we would expect anything less from a brand of Aether’s caliber. Can’t wait to check this out sometime soon.

Cadence Fall/Winter 2012/13

Dustin Klein’s Cadence Collection has just release its f/w 2013 drop entitled Numb, a tight run of caps, tech sweats, a jacket and a tee. Not one for cycling caps myself (at all, ever) but I could potentially mess with that polka dot joint under the helmet. Hoodie second from the bottom is also fire, as expected from the SF-based brand. Available online now.

Freedminds Season 7

New release from Freedminds, the SF line doing it tidy and gully as they have from the get go. Peep the online store for the pieces, standouts for me are the Permanent Vacation snap and and No Love tee.

Cadence Summer 2012

New items from SF-based Cadence as part of their Transition Summer collection. The best cycle-oriented line going in my opinion, always feel Dustin Klein’s designs and the cuts are on point for the more slender amongst us (aka cyclists). Cadence’s LA flagship shop opens today, congrats to the brand for making big moves, more summer 2012 pieces after the break.

Lowside Mag

There’s a lot of good motorcycle mags out there, but most usually only champion one style of engine, which in turn vilifies everything else… not so much with Lowside. I picked up a few issues from Self Edge down in SF last week based on the strength of their cover imagery, and was super impressed with the content… a totally positive take on motorcycle customization, riding, and brotherhood, the mag has great writing and even better photography, covering all mc subcultures from choppers through to cafes. Hit their online shop to subscribe or cop a piece of apparel; support dudes documenting the passion for everything motorcycle, regardless of what you ride.

Freedminds Spring 2012

SF-based the Freedminds return with this spring 2012 collection, or as they label it, season 6. Streetwear from some young guns on that independent hustle, I’m definitely feeling the line from the simple logo pieces through to the heavier graphic work. Great lookbook too, real natural real SF… keep reading for the rest.
