Black Scale 2012 Spring/Summer Video Lookbook

Really dope video interview/lookbook from Black Scale for their s/s 2012 collection. Produced by SF’s  Werehaus and featuring the city’s prominent skyline and notable monuments, the video is narrarated by label founder Mega and goes in to his life philosophies etc. A bit different than most vid lookbooks and soundtracked perfectly, this is a good look all around.

Taking its inspiration from classic and technical outdoors styles the label has combined the two for this great looking collection. NSF Spring/Summer 2012

Southern California label NSF are bringing the straight up wearability with their spring/summer 2012 collection. With a heavy dose of clean and casual American sportswear basics, this presentation is looking spot on. A key note about their collection and denim in particular is the fact that they have acquired Simon Miller (pictured top) as their creative director in the denim department, which is a damn good look for the line. I also really dig the ladies looks, and the beautiful ginger helps with that for sure. Read through for the rest of the lookbook.

Mister Freedom x Sugar Cane MFSC Spring/Summer 2012

Here is a look at a heavyweight collaboration between Mister Freedom and Sugar Cane Co. entitled Men of the Frontier, which takes inspiration from the old western days of early American cultures. “Although inspired by the early American Frontier days, we stayed away from the Hollywood clichés of the “Cowboys and Indians,” as interpreted by early movie studio costumers. Instead, freely incorporating American/Native Indian/Mexican/European elements, we milled original fabrics and designed garments that could plausibly have existed, but stay our own humble addition to today’s attires for discerning gents.” Read through for the rest of the MFSC spring/summer 2012 collection.

NOMA t.d. Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

Tokyo-based label NOMA t.d. here presents their s/s ’12 lookbook, a complete men’s and women’s collection in the same easy casual style they’ve been at since 2009. For the most part I prefer the women’s looks, as the guy’s looks are a bit effeminate for me… the presentation works perfectly for the girl’s pieces though, sun soaked, free flowing and timeless (click to expand images).
