The River Spring/Summer 2013

Japanese/UK label The River here shows off their s/s 2013 collection, futuristic urban/nature looks that while overall land on the more precious side of the spectrum than we usually endorse, still has plenty strong moments and pieces. Not gonna lie, socks and sandals is a win for me here, as well as the restrained use of camo… keep reading for more.

Narifuri Sports Fall/Winter 2012

Here’s a look  the f/w 2012 offering thus far from Tokyo’s Narifuri Sports line, a proper cycling collection of kit from jersey to arm warmer to shorts. Definitely a bit of a stylistic bend on these pieces (e.g. cargo pockets on the shorts), and the jersey patterns are rad. If/when pt. 2 of this collection releases I’ll be sure to update: for now, more after the jump.

Here is Milkcrate Athletics‘ fall 2012 collection presented in a music video, shot on location in Tokyo. Aaron LaCrate designed the collection and produced the tune, which features Tokyo rap crew OME. Milkcrate is on some superior streetwear game and this collection looks on point as always.

The River Autumn/Winter 2012

Japanese label The River present their f/w 2012 collection entitled Gentle Bridge, a take on British trad styles utilizing UK deadstock fabrics. The label’s two principals Jun Hagan and Tetsuya Omura apparently live in London these days, hence this direction. Feeling the styling here, wild out with denim, wool and sweats mixing easily; more after the jump.

FTC Autumn/Winter 2011

Posted via their fb page, FTC is back this this f/w collection, killing the street game the SF-originated line helped pioneer, now 25 years deep. This lookbook features personal favourites such as Jovante Turner and Brian Anderson, and I’m pretty sure Cards makes an appearance after the jump as well. FTC has been steady expanding their reach, now with hands in the Cali/Japan trackbike scene, a good contemporary compliment to their deep roots in skateboarding… look for something in that vein to be posted early next week, with a little bit of involvement by myself… until then, keep reading for the full f/w 2011 collection.
