Super Relax Concept

My friend Meat has had one of these kits for a couple years now and I like to threaten that I’ll sneak in to his house while he’s sleeping and steal it (only half joking). Now I don’t have to, as the bi-annual Super Relax kit preorder time is upon us in January. These guys are based in Portland and have a team of cross racers and general cycling enthusiasts across the US, and besides the fact the kit is super dope I also highly appreciate the whole vibe: fun, with a keen attention to the details.

Grammin’ Out – Part II

Here is another instalment of the Grammin’ Out series here at 85/85. Sometimes its nice to take a break from the regular fashion, music, art posts and give a little insight into our personal lives on the day to day grind. Seeing as it is fully fall out here now on the westcoast wetcoast we decided to put together a little photo montage from the summer months that passed. We are so damn lucky to live in the places we do and be able to the live the life; motorbikes, bikes, beaches, mountains and oceans. Enjoy this look at how we enjoyed our summers, hope you had a good ride too (and if you want to follow us on the Grams, click in to our Connect page).

MASH TOC 2009

Looking back through our archives we’ve posted about MASH a lot… but for some reason, not this vid when it first went up. Rewatched it the other day and damn what an inspiration, ride hard and be posi, what else is there. Click this to full screen and enjoy.

WOLVH

WOLVH is a multi-national trackbike hillbombing crew, with apparel produced in Biel, Switzerland by Lars Bergunder. Usually the pieces are pre-ordered and produced when certain numbers are reached, but that’s seems to be on hold for now… regardless the designs are top notch and the team is really on point (including Patrick Seabase). Hope to see the items available again in the near future, more after the jump and click pics for full size.

MASH SF Tuesday AM Rides

We love MASH, always have, and we patiently wait for new media from them… nice to see this vid, complete with epic smashing and an inadvertent showcase of their technical kits. Sunshine, hills, bridges, friends, fast bikes, this is the stuff.

Patrick Seabase Presents ASMAWA

Patrick Seabase has been known to bomb some impressive hills before, but his new adventure in Eritrea might be his most out-there mission yet. Seabase recently released a trailer for his forthcoming film ASMAWA, documenting his time riding and interacting in the African nation. I’ve had a personal connection to Eritrea since I was a kid, as good family friends were traveling there regularly to help with post-independence infrastructure construction and NGO work, always emphasizing the amazing human stories and hope for the future that the young people they met and worked with held. Can’t wait to see the full feature, trailer above, and bonus vid of Seabase climbing/descending the infamous Stelvio below that.

Cinelli: Track Range 2012

I have been lusting over Cinelli track frames and builds lately, the classic Italian bike company has been making all the right moves in the track department over the last few years, heavily catering to the ‘street track’ community. Cinelli are bringing out the realness for the 2012 range with the new Vigorelli, Supercorsa Pista, Gazetta, and the two MASH collaborations; the Histogram and the brand new Bolt (pictured last). I doubt that I will actually be riding one or any of these beauties in the near future, but if I had my choice right now I would be planning a build around the new MASH Bolt frame, but in the grey colorway.
