Snagged via the Beast, here is the first look at Arc’teryx Veilance spring/summer 2013 collection, another strong run of the highest tech/quality basics from the Vancouver line. Perfect for the conditions of the pacific northwest, Veilance also hits the right sartorial marks with this palette, especially the burgundy.  And while the pricepoint is certainly exclusionary for many, any one of these pieces is a worthwhile investment.

The preview for Funeral Cycling has arrived. It doesn’t get much better than this: ‘we mob, all black, your cadence, so wack’ (gram game).

One of our favourites season after season, Japanese label glamb have released this lookbook for their spring 2013 collection, which was apparently shot here on the lower mainland, as evidenced by the various Gastown shots (and the Fort Langley sign). glamb has all products manufactured in France and this extensive collection is yet another testament to designer Kan Furuya’s range and skill, keep reading for plenty more from this lookbook.

Here is the full s/s 2013 run from Vancouver’s own Wings + Horns, new colorways on classic Wing’s pieces such as the chino and mac overcoat and new stitching applied to many of the shirts and blazers, based off WWII paratrooper chutes. As always the whole run will be made in Canada (and maybe a few pieces in Japan?) at the CYC factory about 4 blocks from where I type. In my opinion Wings is the longest-lasting, most timeless true ‘menswear’ line going today, you really can’t buy better for the price… keep reading for more.

Wings + Horns Fall/Winter 2012

If you’ve been reading this blauge for a minute you know we’ve been riding for Wings+Horns since day 1. The Canadian label is an inspiration on many levels, from design direction through to manufacturing practices. This f/w 2012 collection is  little more ‘precious’ than past runs, and I’m not sure about the prominence of tan/cream pants (it’s winter. you are not wearing cream pants), but there’s still lots to love: Wings has always been a label that has more strength in individual pieces and styled together anyway. Don’t get me wrong, still looks topnotch, keep reading for more.
