Hope everyone had a rad weekend, getting rad. Here’s a real-as-it-gets ‘lookbook’ for your Monday, Carhartt and their mainline apparel getting the Texas treatment. From BBQ to stadium building it’s all covered here, with the concept executed quite well. I think Brendan and I probably wear more workwear world Carhartt than anything else these days, it just really doesn’t get any better.

Seventy Four Autumn/Winter 2011

Seventy Four is back with this a/w 2011 collection, another great run from the super solid NA/JP hybrid label. A lot of great takes on classic pieces here, nothing too out of the ordinary, just bang-on color combos, cuts, and overall styling. The name of this collection appears to be Powered By Junk, which appears on a few of the pieces, and I’m really feeling the ‘junk’ hoodie featured above. Workwear with just the right tweaks, click though for more.

N. Hoolywood x Lee Capsule Collection

Spotted over at and shot by the Beast, this small capsule collab between N. Hoolywood and Lee is too good to not post. Lee is one of the last North American workwear/denim originators to dive deep in to collaborations, but hopefully this is the start of some quality links. Really feeling the chorecoat especially, this is a good look for N. Hoolywood, too bad it’s only available in Asian at present.

WTAPS 2011/2nd ‘Way of Life’ Collection

WTAPS brings the heat again with their 2011/2nd collection entitled Way of Life. The run has a great mix of workwear, military and rockabilly styled pieces, all constructed with the best materials and quality craftsmanship. The standout piece for me from is the Lumberjack made from Harris Tweed (pictured first), but it is all on point. Another impressive collection from designer TET with his WTAPS label.

Pike Brothers Superior Garments: Stylebook 2011

Pike Brothers is a German/British based workwear company which draws its inspiration from classic military and work style pieces from the 1930′s-50′s. The label was started by the Pike Brothers back in 1930 on Portobello road in London’s Notting Hill, where they made custom men’s wear and also U.S. military uniforms during the Second World War. The label is now based in Germany and makes a small but thorough collection of work pieces, based on classic American military and work styles. The collection ranges from various denims, work bibs, workshirts, sweats and accessories like wallets and suspenders. The label also has close ties to both motorcycle and hot rod cultures sponsoring racers and events such as the Rust n’ Dust Jalopy. Another great feature that they are doing is the Pike Brothers workwear test, selecting three guys who work in outdoor professions such as welding and carpentry and testing their products hard at work on a day to day basis to see how they hold up. I really dig the Pike Brothers approach, standing behind their products 100% and taking on any challenge that is given them, real hard workers.
